Play Half-Life as you've never played before.
Half Life: GoldSrc: Google Translated is a free Half-Life mod that takes the game's script and runs it through Google Translate a few times.
It's Half-Life, but not as we know it
Half Life: GoldSrc: Google Translated Mod takes the relatively serious script of Half-Life and translates it several times to comedic effect. The random, semi-gibberish dialog makes no sense but can end up being very entertaining. Of course, more often than not, it ends up becoming an incomprehensible mess. That is the charm and entire appeal of this mod.
Nonsense turned into comedy
It's recommended that you play the original Half-Life before playing this mod, because you won't understand any of the dialog. In addition to changing what characters say, this mod also changes text on images and textures. For example, the names on lockers go from people's names to random gibberish, like "sore throat".
Transform your Half-Life experience
Not only is the dialog changed, but all the NPC lines are voice-acted. Watching several NPCs run around panicking while spouting nonsense is hilarious, and just one example of many scenes Half-life fans know well completely transformed.
Limited in scope
Unlike more comprehensive Half-Life mods, such as Black Mesa, Half Life: GoldSrc: Google Translated is very bare-bones. It's a one-note joke, and the novelty factor can wear off pretty quickly. If wacky nonsense fits your sense of humor, you'll probably like this mod. If characters saying horribly translated dialog doesn't appeal, then this won't interest you at all.
